Systemization
We believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to improving the performance of an individual or team. While there is a model – one that encompasses all aspects that lead to high performance – we know that the solution to one challenge is not necessarily the same for another. We work to find the right solution for you and/or your team. However, a customized solution will only provide long-term, sustained high performance with the addition of some process or system. The system provides accountability, reference, and discipline to sustain the performance level required to achieve the results you’re after.
Proactivity
The main difference between people and organizations that perform well only sometimes, and those that perform at high levels consistently, is proactivity. They don’t wait until there is a problem and then try to fix it. They are not satisfied with today’s performance level. They believe that they must perform better tomorrow to achieve the results they desire. And hope is not a strategy for them. They know they must be proactive, and initiate a performance-enhancing program to get to where they want to be. They seek out coaching and consulting.
Flow
Everyone of us has moments when things just seem to happen like magic - we perform at a high level, and it seems almost effortless. You may have heard it referred to as the "zone" or "flow" state and they can occur while engaged in a hobby or playing a sport; they happen in relationships or the workplace. These moments may be brief or may last awhile, but rarely does the "flow" last. But it can happen more consistently; through a performance system, "flow" can be triggered.
Results
Results are what matter. Ironically, focusing on the results often leads to reduced performance… and not achieving the results you’re after. But when you focus on maximizing your performance, you’re more likely to achieve the results you want. Of course, in the heat of the battle – the day-to-day business world, on the court, on the field or on the track – it’s hard not to focus on the results. And it’s difficult to focus on your performance, and the performance of your team. A performance system is required. Better performance leads to results.
